Exhibition: Memories of Hopping Around Kent
Our new exhibition showcases memories and stories about the hop industry around Wye in the 20th century, collected from oral history interviews with local people. It is spread across the site, with a display of objects and printed items in our Model Room, and interpretation banners and our new audio listening station in the ground floor of the oast house. We have also redisplayed relevant hopping items in the upstairs of the oast, and planted a hop garden with two varieties of hops in the museum grounds. See the video and images below for a preview!
